<p>Over a year ago, Apple <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2015/09/30/drone-attack-reporting-app-removal/">removed an app called Metadata+</a> from the App Store. <p>There has been a lot of hype for the <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2017/03/21/apple-officially-announces-red-iphone-7-7-plus-updated-iphone-se-with-double-the-storage/" target="_blank">new (PRODUCT)RED iPhone</a> that Apple introduced last week, despite the only new features of the iPhone 7 update being its red color and charitable cause. Apple might have impressed us with its new black and jet black finishes on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but should it offer even more color and customization options in the future?</p>

<p>I’m really good at managing my inbox (for personal email at least) and rarely leave messages there for keeping. Most emails go in a receipt folder or get deleted, I aggressively unsubscribe to mailing lists and mark spam as junk, and special messages are archived for keeping.</p>
<p>Occasionally I’ll have a message with important information that I don’t need right now and will want to easily reference in the near future. I’ve tried flagging but I don’t entirely understand how the feature is supposed to work between iOS and the Mac.</p>
<p>Usually I just leave the email in my inbox, but what I’d like to do is save the message somewhere with other important information like Apple’s Notes app. Luckily this is possible on iOS, but it’s a bit confusing to discover…</p>

<p>Following the <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2017/03/27/ios-10-3/">public release of iOS 10.3 yesterday</a>, Apple has <a href="https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT204039" target="_blank">updated its list</a> of wireless carrier support and features by country to note a number of carriers that now support Wi-Fi calling and or VoLTE functionality.</p>
<p>Wi-Fi Calling, which enables calling over Wi-Fi connections when cellular coverage is limited, and the wideband, higher-quality phone calls enabled with VoLTE, are now available in 20+ new countries and carriers (full list below).</p>
<p>Among the new additions is Verizon in the US, which we noted yesterday added Wi-Fi Calling for iCloud-connected devices with yesterday’s iOS 10.3 release.</p>

<p>Yesterday, Apple had a busy day rolling out new updates across its software product lines. Most noticeably we got updates to <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2017/03/27/macos-10-12-4/">macOS</a> and <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2017/03/27/ios-10-3/">iOS</a>, but Apple also jam-packed a <em>ton</em> of security fixes into all its software. Totaling nearly 350 known vulnerabilities, Apple has pushed to make all its software more secure.</p>

<p>Released yesterday with the <a href="https://9to5mac.com/2017/01/25/how-to-turn-on-night-shift-mac/">macOS 10.12.4</a> update, Apple’s Night Shift may not be having the impact on your display that it aims to. In a <a href="https://forum.justgetflux.com/topic/3655/f-lux-vs-night-shift-in-macos-10-12-4/8">new post</a> shared on f.lux’s forum, a member of the team broke down why f.lux may be the better option over Apple’s similar offering. Both systems set out to enhance your sleep cycle by reducing blue light appearances on-screen, but f.lux may be the option that truly succeeds.</p>

<p>Nestled between all of the other headlining releases yesterday was <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2017/03/27/apple-classroom-version-2-create-classes/">Classroom 2.0 for the iPad</a>. The original Classroom app featured an MDM (Mobile Device Management) prerequisite, which made it more suitable for larger organizations with a dedicated IT department. With Classroom 2.0, teachers can invite students to a class manually, as long as their iPad is running <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2017/03/27/ios-10-3/">iOS 10.3</a>. Watch our hands-on video inside to see some of the features made possible by the updated Classroom app. <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2017/03/28/classroom-2-0-hands-on-ipad-video/#more-474356" class="more-link">more…</a></p><br />Filed under: <a href='http://9to5mac.com/category/apple/'>Apple</a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gocomments/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/comments/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/godelicious/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/delicious/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gofacebook/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/facebook/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gotwitter/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/twitter/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gostumble/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/stumble/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/godigg/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/digg/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/goreddit/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/reddit/9to5mac.wordpress.com/474356/" /></a> <img alt="" border="0" src="http://pixel.wp.com/b.gif?host=9to5mac.com&blog=22754319&post=474356&subd=9to5mac&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" /><img alt="" border="0" src="http://pixel.wp.com/b.gif?host=9to5mac.com&blog=22754319&post=474356&subd=9to5mac&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" />Tue, 28 Mar 2017 14:49:38 +00009to5MacSome Periscope live-streaming videos will be getting pre-roll ads, says Twitter
