Many babies get tired of cereal sometime in the second year, especially for supper. Don’t try to push it in. There are many substitutes you can offer, such as breads or pasta. Even if they give up all starches for a few weeks, it won’t hurt them. Expect your baby’s tastes to change from month to month. If you don’t make a battle of it, your child will probably eat a reasonably balanced diet from week to week, though it may be somewhat lopsided from meal to meal or from day to day. If it stays unbalanced for weeks, however, you should discuss the problem with your child’s doctor.
